Lattakia, SANA- The number of victims in the earthquake in Jableh has so far reached 283 deaths and 173 injures, while operations continue to remove the rubble and search for survivors are ongoing.
“The safety committees examined the houses damaged by the earthquake, including 10 buildings that needed to be removed immediately,” Head of Jableh City Council, Eng. Ahmed Qandil, said in a statement to SANA reporter.
He added that the number of buildings that collapsed as a result of the earthquake was 19 building blocks.
