Damascus, SANA- Head of Damascus Health department, Muhammad Samer Shahrour, said that the number of persons who completely received vaccine of Coronavirus in Damascus amounted to 140,747, while the number of those who received the first dose reached up to 239,118, and who received the vaccination with boosted dose of 791.
Dr. Shahrour told SANA reporter that an important increase in the demand for vaccination was observed in Damascus province via 43 health centers and 24 mobile teams.
He pointed out that the mobile teams tour the government institutions, private companies and malls, in coordination with Damascus Endowments Directorate to continue offering the vaccine in mosques and churches.
Shahrour stressed the need to receive vaccine, as it is the only way to reduce the severity of infection and its symptoms and reduce the arrival of cases to the stage of acceptance in intensive care.
He stressed the importance of following the preventive measures such as wearing a mask and maintaining spatial distance.
