Food aid from Chechnya distributed in Damascus and its countryside

Damascus, SANA-Ten thousand food packages offered by the Chechen Ahmat Kadyrov Charity Foundation as a gift to the Syrian people were distributed on Sunday.

Ziad al-Sabsabi, the foundation’s vice president, said the campaign’s launch coincided with the start of the holy month of Ramadan by distributing 20, 000 iftar meals and 5,000 suhoor meals daily in various areas in Damascus city and countryside including Yarmouk, al-Hussainieh and al-Shaghour.

The distribution was done by a number of charities and a large number of volunteers, al-Sabsabi said, noting that the second stage also seeks to distribute 10, 000 food packages.
