Damascus, SANA-Prime Minister Wael al-Halaqi affirmed that Syria and despite all conspiracies against it is stronger than ever and more adherent to the principles of the March 8th Revolution.
During his participation in a ceremony at the Cabinet on the occasion of the 53rd anniversary of March 8 Revolution, al-Halaqi said that the revolution put Syria in the ranks of developed countries at all levels, particularly after the Correction Movement led by the late President Hafez al-Assad.
Al-Halaqi noted that the revolution marked an important starting point in the building and reconstruction which included scientific and cultural monuments, schools, universities, hospitals, health centers and the Syrian countryside and also achieved a comprehensive development that has made Syria a modern state.
He pointed out that the anniversary this year comes as Syria is showing great steadfastness in confronting to terrorist war waged against it, adding that the government is exerting all possible efforts to meet the citizens’ needs.
He stressed that the achievements of the Syrian Arab Army and its sacrifices will contribute to restoring stability to all areas in parallel with expanding the local reconciliations.
