Damascus, SANA- Prime Minister Hussein Arnous thanked China for support it provided to the Syrian people in the fields of health, relief, transport, and telecommunications and others fields.
This came during a meeting on Sunday between the Premier and Ambassador of China in Damascus Feng Biao on the occasion of ending his duties as his country’s Ambassador to Syria.
Arnous praised China’s position in international forums in defense of the rights of peoples, their independence, the sovereignty of their countries and their national decision.
He hailed the standing bilateral relations based on cooperation and coordination in many issues of concern to the two friendly countries and peoples.
The Premier stressed the need for bolstering economic, cultural and scientific cooperation, increasing trade exchange, and activating the joint committee, as well as encouraging the business sector in the two countries to establish investment projects that contribute to pushing relations forward in various fields.
Arnous highlighted the importance of benefiting from Syria’s geographical location and its civilized role in establishing many service projects and development within the Belt and Road Initiative.
For his part, the Chinese ambassador reiterated his country’s readiness to fully participate in the reconstruction in Syria and the process of economic development.
