Foreign Ministry: Attempts of fabricating chemical scenario in Idleb won’t affect Syria’s stance in combating terrorism

Damascus, SANA- Foreign and Expatriates Ministry affirmed that attempts of terrorist groups to fabricate a paly using chemical weapons in Idleb province to accuse the Syrian Arab Army of the act, are guided and supported by the US, some Western countries and Turkish intelligence services.

An official source at the Ministry said in statement on Tuesday that the terrorist organizations and terrorists of White Helmets group and their supporters on the field ground and at the international forums have not stopped preparing for terrorist acts through preparations to stage chemical weapon play in some areas of Idleb and Hama provinces with the aim of accusing the Syrian Arab Army of the act.

The source clarified that the acts of terrorist organizations, with their different names, are done upon orders and support of the United States of America, some Western countries and the Turkish intelligence services.

It indicated that Syria will hold the countries that support those terrorists, especially the United States, Britain, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Turkey, responsible for using those toxic materials and killing innocent civilians without any moral deterrent.

“Syria also calls on the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons to not ignore that information and the need to take it very seriously and deal with it within the framework of its mandate specified in light of the Chemical Weapons’ Convention,” the source said.

It concluded by saying that the Syrian Arab Republic has repeatedly stressed its categorical rejection of the use of chemical weapons by anyone, in anywhere and under any circumstance, and that it has not used these weapons before and cannot use them now as it basically does not possess them.
