People’s Assembly delegation to Yerevan meets a number of officials and Syrian community members

Yerevan, SANA- A delegation from the People’s Assembly who is on a visit to Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia , met the Armenian Minister of Economic Development and Investments Tigran Khachatryan.

Khachatryan expressed his country’s readiness to develop the Armenian –Syrian economic relations, especially with the start of the reconstruction phase.

The delegation includes MPs Ashwaq Abbas , Noura Aresian , Maher Khaiyata and Mohammed Jalal Darwish Mido.

The delegation also met Armenian Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs, Gabriel Ghazaryan who hailed the deep-rooted historic relations binding the two countries, pointing out to his country’ readiness to contribute to rehabilitating the Syrian sport facilities which have been damaged due to the terrorists’ acts, in addition to carrying out joint campaigns between the two countries.

The delegation paid a visit to the Syrian pavilion at the charity bazar which is being held in Yerevan and met a number of Syrian community members in Armenia, briefing them on the developments in Syria and the efforts exerted to rehabilitate infrastructure and restore the services to the areas liberated from terrorism, urging them to return home to re-build what has been destroyed by terrorism

In turn, the Syrian community members expressed their willingness to return, hailing the heroic sacrifices achieved by the Syrian Arab Army.
Head of the delegation , MP Abbas expressed Syria’s appreciation of the Armenia’s stances in support of Syrian people in the fight against terrorism.
